James Price's Obituary
Harold C. Price, age 90, of Bolivar, Missouri, formerly of Raytown, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, January 20, 2010 at John Knox Village Care Center in Lee’s Summit, Missouri after his long battle with cancer. He was born February 1, 1919 in Norcatur, Kansas to Leslie and Pearl Price. He had been a heavy equipment operator for John Rohrer Construction Company and a square dance caller for 60 years. He had three clubs in the Kansas City area, making people smile or laugh was his enjoyment. He was a 50 year member of the Masons, with current membership at the Walnut Grove Lodge in Walnut Grove, Missouri. He served in the United States Army during the end of WWII, and a member of the Walnut Grove Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his daughters, Kim Brown and Shirley Woolfe, his wife Dorothy Price, and longtime companion, Doris Morris. He is survived by his daughters, Debbie Sherman of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, Janet Williams of Kirksville, Missouri, stepdaughter, Judy Schroyer and her husband Larry of Overland Park, Kansas, grandsons, Richard and Tim Smith, and four great grandchildren, Jordan, Brianna, Elisabeth andHaley. He will be missed by many, and loved forever. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 25, 2010 at the Butler Funeral Home in Bolivar, Missouri from 10:00-11:00am. A graveside service will follow the visitation at 11:30am at the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Aldrich, Missouri with Reverend Bill Moore officiating. A medley of music will be sung at the gravesite by Frankie Matos with the songs, “Holy, Holy”, “Open The Eyes Of My Heart” and “In The Presence”.
