James Rogers' Obituary
James Rogers, son of John William and Winnie Elizabeth Burgess Rogers, was born July 29, 1923, near Richland, Missouri. He departed this life Thursday, January 18, 2007, in Christian Healthcare North, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of eighty-three years, five months, and nineteen days. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Bob and Johnny Rogers; and a sister, Pauline McCabe. James is survived by three brothers, Dale Rogers, Floyd Rogers, and Don Rogers, and his wife, Evaleen, all of Lebanon, Missouri; two sisters, Betty Brown, of Lebanon, Missouri, and Goldie Appleberry, of Butler, Missouri; a number of nieces and nephews; his longtime caregivers, Sammy and Patty Dismang, of Conway, Missouri; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. He lived most of his life in the Lebanon, Missouri area. Throughout the years, he worked in the timber business and also did farm work. James trusted in the Lord and followed the Baptist faith during his life. As a young man he enjoyed working on cars, and liked to sit outdoors and sing. He enjoyed spending time with his family and was a good and caring friend. James was a loving brother, uncle, and friend, and will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 20, 2007, in the Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Lebanon. Burial will be in the North Liberty Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home at their convenience. Services are under the directiom of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon, Missouri.
