James L. Tribble (Lebanon)'s Obituary
James Lloyd Tribble was born June 11, 1930, near Phillipsburg, Missouri, to Forrest Miller Tribble and Dorotha Lavera Kelly Tribble. He passed away in his home Wednesday, January 5, 2022, in Lenexa, Kansas, at the age of ninety-one years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Lee A. Tribble; and his brother-in-law, Larry E. Smith.
He is survived by two sons, Jim Tribble and his wife, Sharon, of Oak Grove, Missouri, and Mike Tribble of Warrensburg, Missouri; a grandson, Paul Tribble and his wife, Casey, of Lone Jack, Missouri; a great-granddaughter, Karsyn Tribble; a brother, John Tribble and his wife, Marsha, of Kansas City, Kansas; a sister, Catherine Smith of Springfield, Missouri; a sister-in-law, Ann Tribble of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; and many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
As a child, Jim attended and became a member of Phillipsburg Christian Church. He attended school at Mt. Zion, Long Lane, and Phillipsburg. He graduated from Phillipsburg High School in 1948.
Jim worked for the Kansas City Star for many years and in 2000, he retired from there as the Maintenance Supervisor. He had also volunteered as a fireman for several years for the Blue Springs, Missouri, and Lenexa, Kansas, Fire Departments.
In his spare time, Jim loved hunting, fishing and traveling. His most enjoyment came from his farm and raising cattle.
Jim was a very well-respected man and good friend to many. We celebrate his life and know he has left a wonderful legacy for his family to remember him by.
