James Viles (Bolivar)'s Obituary
James Loren Viles of Pittsburg, Missouri passed away on Friday, March 15, 2019, at the age of 74. He was born in Goodson, Missouri on December 18, 1944, to Ernest Clifford Viles and Alice Lorene Sands. In the 1960s, James met and married his wife Beverly in Brunswick, Missouri. To this union, three children were born. James and Beverly stayed to raise their children in the Brunswick area until they moved to Pittsburg, Missouri. They were married for 51 years until her passing on December 28, 2016. James was a truck driver but loved to mow his yard, ride his tractor, take long boat rides, and bulldoze anything that got in his way. He loved to enjoy the outdoors.
James is preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Alice Viles; his wife, Beverly Viles; his son in law, James Gifford; granddaughter, Kelsey Viles; and his infant brother.
James is survived by his siblings Ben Viles and wife Sandy, Joe Viles, Don Viles, Juanita Holbrook and husband Mike, and Vivian Haggar and husband Randy as well as his children, James Viles and wife Sharon of Marshall, MO, Rhonda Viles and her significant other, Allen Clemons of Malta Bend, MO, and Teresa Gifford of Marshall, MO. He is also survived by grandchildren: Brandon Viles and wife Heather, Blake McCoy, Rebecca Viles, and Jamie Viles, as well as great-grandchildren: Haylee Viles, Bella Viles, and Zayden McCoy.
Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, March 19, 2019, at the Butler Funeral Home in Bolivar, Missouri. Burial will follow services at the Mt. View Cemetery in Polk, MO.
