James Patrick Vitale, Jr. (Lebanon)'s Obituary
James Patrick Vitale, Jr., son of James Patrick Vitale, Sr. and Twila Dawn Thomas Vitale, was born January 29, 1990, in Springfield, Missouri. He departed this life Saturday, November 7, 2015, near Williston, North Dakota, at the age of twenty-five years, nine months, and nine days.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, William Charles Vitale, Sr.
Jamie, as he was called by his family and friends, is survived by his mother, Twila Smith, and her husband, Wes, of Camdenton, Missouri; his father, James Vitale, Sr., and his wife, Dina, of Sullivan, Missouri; two brothers, Joseph D. Vitale, of Lebanon, Missouri, and Peyton Smith, of Camdenton, Missouri; his maternal grandfather, Leonard Thomas, of Lebanon, Missouri; his paternal grandmother, Patricia Vitale, of Lebanon, Missouri; his paternal great-grandparents, James and Lucille Mosier, of Lebanon, Missouri; a number of aunts, uncles, and cousins; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He lived most of his life in the Lebanon area, and graduated from Lebanon High School in the Class of 2008. He attended Missouri State University for three years and attended Nursing School, where he became a Licensed Practical Nurse. He then began working in the oil fields in North Dakota, and worked his way up the ranks in the oil business until becoming a water pusher. He was well respected among his co-workers and supervisors.
Jamie professed his faith in Christ and was baptized in 2007 into Community Baptist Church where he was an active member. Soul winning was an important part of his Christian life story.
He possessed a big heart and was always willing to help others. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting and fishing but his great passion was weight lifting. His family was at the center of his life and he especially enjoyed being with his brothers.
Jamie was a loving son, brother, grandson, great-grandson, nephew, cousin, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and know that his family and friends will treasure the wonderful memories he made for them during his short lifetime.
Memorial contributions may be made to Community Baptist Church, and left at the funeral home, or the church, the day of the service.
