James William Hough (Lebanon)'s Obituary
James William Hough, son of Leonard and Gertrude Johnson Hough, was born March 13, 1927, near Lebanon, Missouri. He departed this life Wednesday, April 25, 2012, in Christian Health Care South, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of eighty-five years, one month, and twelve days.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and an aunt and uncle, Margaret and Earl Scott, who were his adopted family.
James is survived by a sister, Faye Wilson, of Cheyenne, Wyoming; a nephew, Bruce Wilson, of Cheyenne, Wyoming; a number of cousins, including these in the Lebanon area: Bill Johnson, James Johnson, Sharon Brown, Deanna Garrison, Libby Vandergrift, and his caregivers, Keith and Linda Lewis; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He was born and raised in Laclede County, Missouri, and graduated from Lebanon High School in the Class of 1947. He made his home in Iowa, where he was employed by Griffin Pipe Company for a few years. He then moved to Wichita, Kansas, and worked for Boeing Aircraft Company for thirty-two years. After retiring, he made his home in Springfield, Missouri, before coming to Lebanon for the last several months.
James had attended Berean Baptist Church while living in Springfield, Missouri.
He possessed a quiet demeanor and enjoyed his privacy. He was always neat in his appearance and took care of himself.
James will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all of his family and friends.
