James Yandell Sr. (Lebanon)'s Obituary
James Lee Yandell, Sr. of Camdenton, Missouri, formerly of Lebanon, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, April 26, 2023 in his home.
James was born October 28, 1955 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to James C. Yandell and Wanda Yandell. At the time of his passing, he was sixty-seven years, five months and twenty-nine days.
He was raised in the Tulsa area and became a welder. He was known to be a very talented and gifted welder. Around two years ago when his health began to fail, he moved to the Lebanon and Camdenton area to be closer to his children.
On October 5, 1987, he was united in marriage to Betty Blanton. They shared 35 years of love and challenges as they raised their four children.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
James is survived by his wife, Betty Yandell of Lebanon, Missouri; his sons, James Yandell, Jr and his wife, Viola of Camdenton, Missouri and Tommy Abedaldein of Lebanon, Missouri; two daughters, Victoria Pierce and Jennifer, both of Lebanon, Missouri; two brothers, Robert Yandell and Mark Yandell, both of Tulsa, Oklahoma; his sister, Linda Dean of Bristow, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
James was a dedicated husband and father. He loved his family deeply. He was very outspoken and you always knew what he thought about any given situation. He was a strong and generous man and had great compassion for his family and friends.
He loved to go fishing, being outdoors and car racing. He really enjoyed dirt track racing and late model race cars were his favorite.
Of course, his best times were any time he could be with his grandchildren. He loved them so much and looked forward to being with them as much as he could. He also enjoyed when the family would get together for big dinners and holiday and birthday events. These are memories that will be with the family for years to come.
