James Glenn Boyce (Lebanon)'s Obituary
James Glenn Boyce, son of Warren and Gela Boyce Warken, was born March 24, 1987, in Akron, Ohio. He departed this life Monday, January 21, 2013, in his home, in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of twenty-five years, nine months, and twenty-seven days.
On October 2, 2009, he was united in marriage to Nicole Lee Nelson, and they shared the last three years.
He was preceded in death by his father; and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
James is survived by his loving wife, Nicole, of the home; his mother, Gela Warken, of Grovespring, Missouri; three brothers, Chris Warken, Warren Warken, both of Grovespring, Missouri, and Daniel Warken, of Springfield, Missouri; three sisters, Nichole Warken, Natasha Wright, both of Harrison, Arkansas, and Racee Warken, of Sacramento, California; several nieces and nephews; his step-father, Chester “Bub” Smith, of Hendersonville, Tennessee; two brothers-in-law, D. J. Nelson and Aaron Greathouse; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, David Nelson and Kelly Bettazza; his grandparents-in-law, Patsy and Zane Caviness; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He was raised for a few years in Indiana, and then moved with his family to Grovespring, Missouri, where he spent most of his childhood. He attended Grovespring School and worked at Burger King in Lebanon for a few years. He then moved to Springfield in 2007, and worked at a Burger King there while he started attending O.T.C. In 2010, he began working as an associate in the meat department for Wal Mart. He had obtained his Associate Degree in Arts and was working on earning his bachelor’s degree in hospital administration and senior living from Missouri State University.
In his spare time he enjoyed watching movies, and playing video games. He particularly liked playing card games and his favorite was Magic the Gathering. He was an avid reader and was always listening to music. He possessed a wonderful sense of humor and never let things get him down. He was always willing to help others and liked coming to their rescue.
James was a loving husband, son, brother, and uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all of his family and friends.
