Jane Ann Brim (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Jane Ann Brim, age 87 passed away on January 7, 2024 at Colonial Springs Health Care Center in Buffalo, MO, with her children by her side. She was born to Jimmy and Virginia (Pearl) Turner in Cassville, MO on February 11, 1936. Jane Ann graduated Cassville High School in 1953 and attended Southwest Missouri State University. On August 4, 1956 she was united in marriage to Dean Brim of Bolivar. To this union, two children were born, Robert Lee and Karen Dee. Jane Ann and Dean shared 63 years of marriage.
Jane loved spending time with family and friends, and especially her grandchildren. She and Dean attended many of their activities over the years. Her great-grandchildren brought a smile to her face when they visited and she always loved to see new pictures and hear what they were doing.
She was a member of the Bolivar Garden Club and Better Homes Extension Club for many years. She enjoyed growing flowers for their beauty and had quite the green thumb. Almost everything she touched flourished. She also enjoyed sharing her flowers and helping others start their flower gardens.
She loved working with children, serving as a 4H leader several years in the Bolivar 4H Club. She represented Polk County along with another leader in Washington DC at a 4H Leadership Conference, an experience she relished.
She was a homemaker and dairy farm wife, raising many calves and doing farm chores along with her family over the years. She also loved dogs and raised Australian Shepards on the farm.
She was saved at an early age at the First Christian Church of Cassville where she remained a member for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Dean, and sister and brother in law, Missie Kay and Eddie Moore. She is survived by her daughter Karen (Dave) Stillings, of Brighton, MO, son Robert Brim of Branson, MO, grandchildren, Brady (Brittany) Gifford of Bella Vista, Arkansas, Josh Gifford of Elkland, MO, Shyann Brim, Tyler Brim and Sierra Brim of Branson, MO, great-grandchildren, Holden Dean and Adeline Riley Gifford, Bella Vista, Arkansas, brother and sister in law Jim and Sue Turner of Georgetown, Texas and her niece and nephews in Texas and Oklahoma.
At Jane’s request and according to Genesis 3:19 “For you are dust and to dust you shall return”, the body has been cremated. Graveside services will be held at a later date at the Mt. Olive Cemetery, Bolivar. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Mt. Olive Cemetery in care of Butler Funeral Home or may be sent to the Mt. Olive Treasurer at 1740 E. 552nd Rd. Brighton, MO 65617.
