Janice M. Albertson (Seymour)'s Obituary
Janice Morelan Albertson sadly and unexpectedly departed this life early Thursday, January 1, 2015 at her home in Seymour, Missouri. Janice was sixty-two years, ten months and eight days young.
She was born Janice Ann Bowen in Wichita, Kansas, on February 24, 1952, to Jimmie Don Bowen and Thelma Jean Rippee. She spent her youth in Kansas and then moved to Oklahoma in 1967 where she was a graduate of Tahlequah High School in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. Janice moved back to the Springfield area in the early 1970s to be near family.
Janice was preceded in death by her husband, Dwight Eugene Albertson, Sr.; her father, Jimmie Bowen; her ‘Dads’, Delbert Brandon and Harold Wallace; sister, Sheryl Wimmer; and her grandparents, Bert and Litha Rippee. She leaves behind six children; daughter, Lisa Engelhardt and husband Ric, of Ava Missouri; daughter, Tonya Rains and husband Tony, of Garrison, Missouri; son, Olan Morelan and wife Carrie, of Fair Grove, Missouri; daughter, Tammy Galbraith and husband Dale, of Seymour; daughter, Amanda Larsen and husband Jeff, of Rogersville, Missouri; and son, Jeremy Morelan and wife Alex, of Marshfield, Missouri; twenty-three grandchildren, Charity (Brad), Jessica (Levi), Jeffrey (Heather), Allana (Derek), Zohn (Shanda), Mindi (Dustin), Calvin, Clayton, Krissy, Zach, Cassi, Elias, Jacob, Ben, Ian, Alexis, Patrick, Sean, Breanna, Hailey, Tiffany (Cary), Chris, Melissa (Joe), and Tony Jr.; twenty great-grandchildren, Lili, Dawson, Marshall, Maverick, Karleigh, Claire, Bentley, Kaleb (on the way), Prestin, Pakstin, Mellani, Evan, Hailey, Olivia, Grace, Tristin, Shianne, Ephraim, Corbin, and Cohyn; her mother, Thelma J. Rippee Wallace of Seymour; brother, Neal Brandon of Lebanon; brother, Dale Brandon and wife Vanessa, of Ozark, Missouri; brother, Bub Wallace of Seymour; brother, Gerald Wallace and wife Tina, of Tahlequah, Oklahoma; brother, J.D. Bowen II of Mesa, Arizona; sister, Sharleen Hnath of Colorado; sister, Saundra Rodriquez of Georgia; and sister, Connie Anderson and husband Tommy, of Tahlequah, Oklahoma; a host of nieces and nephews; and many more extended family, dear friends and neighbors. Janice Ann Morelan Albertson was a kind-hearted woman with a huge smile. She was a devoted mother, a fun-loving grandmother and great-grandmother, and a caring sister and friend. Her passing was so much too soon, but she left a legacy for her family and created a lifetime of memories and moments that will be cherished in the hearts of family and friends forever. Janice will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved her.
