Janice Bell's Obituary
Janice Arlene Bell, daughter of Fred W. and Luella Zaiser Zimmerman, was born June 6, 1929, in Custer County, Colorado. She departed this life Saturday, August 1, 2009, in Lake Regional Hospital, Osage Beach, Missouri, at the age of eighty years, one month and twenty-six days. On November 19, 1983, in Switzerland, she was united in marriage to Dee Jay Bell. Together they shared the past twenty-five years in marriage. She was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson, Damon Eley. Survivors include her loving husband, Dee Jay Bell of the home; a son, Frederick Eley of Joplin, Missouri; a daughter, Jenny Breen and husband Bill of Hagerstown, Maryland; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and many friends. Janice was raised in Denver and graduated from high school there. She went on to graduate from the University of Denver with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education. She taught school for many years in California, New Mexico, Kansas and Missouri. She and Dee Jay moved to Saudi Arabia in 1983 where she continued to teach school. They retired to the Lake of the Ozarks in 1999. Janice made a profession of faith and was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Camdenton. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading and making many crafts. Janice was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will treasure the memories she created for her family and friends. Services will be held at 11:00am on Thursday August 6, 2009 at the Our Saviors Lutheran Church Camdenton, Missouri. Visitation will begin at 10:00am at the church under the direction of the Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home in Camdenton, Missouri. A memorial has been established to the Dogwood Animal Shelter.
