Janice Holt (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Janice Ilene Holt, daughter of Clyde and Helen Ritz Haynes, was born January 27, 1938, in Fairfield, Iowa. She departed this life Wednesday, June 17, 2020, in Lebanon South Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of eighty-two years, four months, and twenty days.
On February 27, 1955, she was united in marriage to Charles Lee Holt, and to this union two daughters and two sons were born.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles, on January 13, 2017; and several brothers and sisters.
Janice is survived by two daughters, Diane Gibbs, and her husband, Bill, and Cathy Light, all of Lebanon, Missouri; two sons, David Holt, and his wife, Lynne, and Danny Holt, and his wife, Trina, all of Lebanon, Missouri; twelve grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Lois Doyle, of Lebanon, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was raised in Iowa and then moved to Princeton, Missouri, after she and Charles were married. They lived there for several years, and Janice was a devoted homemaker to her husband and family. In 1965, they moved to Lebanon, Missouri, and Janice owned a restaurant for a time. She then worked as a ward clerk for the Breech Medical Center in Lebanon, which later became St. John’s Hospital.
In her spare time she enjoyed reading, working puzzles, sewing, shopping, and going to garage sales. She had a great love for animals and had several pets through the years. She loved her family dearly and especially enjoyed all of her grandchildren.
Janice was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and was a caring friend. We celebrate her life and know that her family and friends will cherish the wonderful memories she created for them during her lifetime.
All arrangements for Janice Holt will be private under the care and direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon, Missouri.
