Janice M. Long (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Janice Mae Long was born April 27, 1945 near Conway, Missouri to Foster and Cecile Kelsey Kenfield. She passed away Monday, November 17, 2025 in Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri. She was eighty years, six month and twenty-one days of age.
Janice is survived by her husband, Freeman Long, of the home; her son, Mark Long and his wife Yolanda of Lebanon, Missouri; two grandchildren, Sasha Sample and Cameron Long; seven great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Foster and Cecile; three sisters, Wilma Kenfield, Eva Long and Betty Turnage; her brother, Foster Kenfield; and her sister-in-law, Eva Long.
Janice was raised in the Lebanon area and attended Lebanon Schools. On November 12, 1962 she was united in marriage to Freeman Long and to this union one son was born.
After Janice and Freeman were married, she worked at Verns Malt Shop. She then joined her sisters at Rush Jewelry Store where she was employed for several years. Janice loved babies and children and started a babysitting business in her home.
She loved traveling and taking family vacations.
Janice was a member at Hillcrest Baptist Church.
Janice had a wonderful and blessed life that rotated around her home and her family. She especially loved her seven great-grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them. Janice was known for her unwavering dedication to her family, embodying the roles of a loving wife, devoted mother, and cherished grandmother. Her home was a haven of warmth, love and laughter where countless memories were created and treasured. She will be missed by those who knew and loved her.
