Janice Sue Roy (Hartville)'s Obituary
Janice Sue Roy, daughter of John and Ruby (Hutson) Dugger, was born February 23, 1959 on the Wright County/ Webster County line in Missouri and she departed this life on June 5, 2021 in her home at Hartville, Missouri at the age of sixty-two years, three months and thirteen days.
On January 26, 2006, she was united in marriage to Norman “Dale” Roy and he survives of the home at Hartville, Missouri. Also surviving are her children; Dustin Long and his wife Lisa of Hartville, Missouri, Jeremy Long and his wife Kelli of Nixa, Missouri and Catrina Long of Hartville, Missouri; four grandchildren; Caleb and Ashley Long, Madalyn Wilmes and Parker Smith, a sister, Judy Thompson of Hartville, Missouri, a brother, Jerry Dugger of Grovespring, Missouri, lots of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Joyce Dugger and Gail McCune and two brothers, Jack and Joe Dugger.
Janice was raised in Hartville, Missouri and she graduated from Hartville High School in 1977. She was always a hard worker and she took pride in her work. She worked many years at H.D. Lees and has worked 20 plus years as a rural mail carrier for the United States Postal Service. She enjoyed meeting people on her mail route, over the years those people became family and she loved them.
Janice liked reading, doing puzzles, collecting rocks and photographing sunsets; Although, spending time with her children and grandchildren was her greatest joy. Janice was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and will treasure all the memories she helped create.
