Janis Marie Webster - Rowell (Camdenton)'s Obituary
Janis Marie Webster Rowell, daughter of Lester Joel “Mannie” Webster and Edith Fay Caviness Webster, was born August 18, 1964, in California, Missouri. She departed this life Wednesday, June 23, 2010, in her home in Climax Springs, Missouri, at the age of forty-five years, ten months and five days.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Survivors include her daughters, Anna Bowen, and her husband, Kenneth, of Harrisonville, Missouri, and Amanda Himes, of Camdenton, Missouri; three grandchildren, Kelsie, Kaidyn and Ashton Bowen; her mother, Edith Webster, of Riverside, Missouri; three sisters, Julie McQueen, of Macks Creek, Missouri, Susie Neff, and her husband, Bobby, of Camdenton, Missouri, and Gina Stevenson, and her husband, Jeff, of Kingsville, Missouri; three brothers, Jesse Thomas, of Camdenton, Missouri, Aaron Anderson, and his wife, Renee, of Lebanon, Missouri, and Donnie Lyle, of Camdenton, Missouri; her grandmother, Lola Webster, of Camdenton, Missouri; and her step-mother, Maxine Webster, of Camdenton, Missouri; special friends, Steve Himes and Darell Rowell; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
Janis was raised in the Camdenton area and lived most of her life there. She was a graduate of Camdenton High School in the Class of 1982. She worked as a chef for several restaurants including Tan-Tar-A Resort, Shooters and Vista Grande.
Janis made a profession of faith and was a member of Webster Groves Missionary Baptist Church.
In her spare time, she enjoyed doing photo collages and making latch-hook pictures. She had a knack for working with flowers and plants. She enjoyed playing cards and especially had fun playing dice. Most of all, she enjoyed time spent with family and friends.
Janis was a loving mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, granddaughter and aunt and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will treasure the memories she created.
