Jason Drew Keplar (Hartville)'s Obituary
Jason "Scissors" Keplar was born June 6th, 1969 in Puyallup, Washington, to Richard and Joy Keplar. He was predeceased by his father Richard, in 1979, and his grandparents.
Joy, his mother, remarried in 1970 to Victor Mills. Victor raised Jason as his own son.
Jason has 3 brothers; Fred Keplar of Joplin, Victor "Leroy" Mills, Jr. of Enumclaw, WA, and Jessie Mills of Hartville.
Though Jason never married or had children of his own, he took Nathan "Bug" Clark as his own at a young age.
Jason tried his hand at diesel mechanics, and as a Longshoreman with Todd's Shipyards. He finally found his calling as a glazier and about this time he also gained the nickname of "Scissors". Jason loved to work with glass, and he loved to be high upon the side of a skyscraper putting in windows. He did specialize in glass doors and decorative pieces.
Jason was a charismatic person with a big personality and an even bigger heart. He loved all and all loved him. He always had a joke and tried to make everyone laugh.
Jason gave his life to the Lord Jesus at a young age but he rededicated himself to Christ within the past couple years.
Jason was also active with the Renton Old Timers annual picnic, where he did serve as the organization president.
When talking with Jason about the years growing up, on of his favorite lines was Ma would tell us "grab a towel and get in the truck" when one of the brothers got injured in some form.
