Jason Lee Mayhall (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Jason Lee Mayhall of Lebanon, Missouri passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2023 in Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri. He was born February 3, 1952 in Alton, Illinois to Jason L. Mayhall, Sr. and Helen Whitten. At the time of his passing, he was seventy years, eleven months and eight days.
Shortly after Jason was born, his family moved to the Lebanon, Missouri area where he was raised and attended Lebanon Schools.
Following his schooling, he worked as a mechanic in Lebanon, Missouri, then moved to Texas where he worked in the oil fields. After obtaining his CDL, Jason went to work as an over-the-road truck driver for Arrow Trucking out of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Guest Trucking in Mannford, Oklahoma. He also worked on a cattle ranch for a time and completed his career as a welder.
In his later years, Jason had moved back to Lebanon and made his home in Adams Place Apartments. He made many friends there before going to Colonial Springs Care Center in Buffalo, Missouri where the staff and residents were his second family.
Jason was preceded in death by his parents; his step-father, Ralph Gregory and his sister, Debbie Zeigenbein.
He is survived by his sisters, Patricia “Patty” Cunningham and her husband, John of Dorchester, Illinois, Bonnie Waterman and her husband, Don of Tunas, Missouri, and Kelly Greene and her husband, Phil of Lebanon, Missouri; a brother, Bill Gregory and his wife, Angie of Lebanon, Missouri; his aunts, Linda Donoto of Godfrey, Illinois and Ruth Whitten of Falcon, Missouri; and his step-mother, Theresa Mayhall of Hanford, California.
In his spare time, Jason enjoyed growing house plants, playing dominos and playing cards with his friends.
Jason was a hard worker and lived a full life. He will most certainly be missed by those who knew and loved him.
Services for Jason Mayhall will be Saturday, January 14, 2023 at 2 p.m. in Holman-Howe Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. - 2 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in McBride Cemetery.
