Jason Williams (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Jason Lavern Williams, son of Belfie Mack and Georgia Perryman Williams, was born December 30, 1933, near Grovespring, Missouri. He departed this life Thursday, October 5, 2017, in Mercy Hospital, in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of eighty-three years, nine months, and five days.
On October 11, 1952, he was united in marriage to Virginia Lee Wallander, and to this union three daughters and three sons were born.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Billie Jean Williams; a son, Kevin Wayne Williams; two brothers, Lester and Junior Williams; and four sisters, Verba Weaver, Eunice Jennings, Sue Davies, and Faye Corbin.
Jason is survived by his loving wife of almost sixty-five years, Virginia, of the home; two daughters, Teresa Hough, and her husband, Bruce, of Lebanon, Missouri, and Vicki England, of Columbia, Missouri; two sons, Rick Williams, and his wife, Susie, of Eldridge, Missouri, and Jason Lee Williams, of the home; seven grandchildren, April Jarod, Kristi, Shanna, Nikki, Amanda, and Adam; nineteen great-grandchildren; a sister, Imogene Hawkins, and her husband, Paul, of Lebanon, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He was born and raised in the Grovespring community. He then served his country faithfully in the United States Army for a few years. After he and Virginia were married, they made their home in the Lebanon area except for a few years when they lived in Davenport, Iowa. Throughout the years, Jason worked in the used car business, and also did wood cutting in his early years.
Jason had been a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post # 4107 in Lebanon. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, hunting, gambling, bowling, playing cards, and shooting pool. He was an honest man, who stood steadfast in his convictions. You always knew how you stood with him as he would tell you. Jason was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and know that his family and friends will treasure the wonderful memories he made for them during his lifetime.
Memorial donations for Mr. Williams' handicapped son, Jason Lee Williams, may be made through the funeral home.
