Jay Troy's Obituary
Jay Robert Troy, son of Mac Robert Grossman and Ella Patricia Boenisch Troy, was born November 5, 1952 in New York City, New York. He departed this life, Monday, August 20, 2007 in University Hospital, Columbia, Missouri, at the age of fifty-four years, nine months and fifteen days. He was preceded in death by his father. Survivors include his mother, Patti Troy of Osage Beach, Missouri; his sons, Robert Troy of Sherman Oaks, California, and Alec Troy of Osage Beach, Missouri; his brothers, Jeff Troy and wife Lisa of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and Jon Troy of Osage Beach, Missouri; a step-brother, Larry Troy of Danbury, Connecticut; and a niece, Devin Troy of Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Jay was raised in New York City and attended Quintano’s School for the Performing Arts. He traveled the country playing the guitar with Chubby Checker and other musical projects. He moved to the lake area two years ago. He has worked in residential construction for the past few years. He had made a profession of faith and was a member of Community Baptist Church in Lebanon, Missouri. He had also attended Rock House Church in Linn Creek, Missouri. Music was a big part of Jay’s life, and he enjoyed playing and performing. Mostly, he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his sons. Jay was a loving son, father, brother and uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and accomplishments, and will treasure the memories he created for his family and friends. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 25, 2007, in the Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Camdenton. Services are under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton, Missouri.
