Jay R. Zerbes (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Jay Roger Zerbes, son of Roger and Frances Gray Zerbes, was born February 22, 1964, in Chicago, Illinois. He departed this life Thursday, December 23, 2021, at his home in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of fifty-seven years, ten months, and one day.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Mark Zerbes, and his sister, Tamara Nightingale and her husband, Bill.
Jay is survived by a son, Jacob Zerbes, and his wife, Myia, of Parachute, Colorado; a step-daughter, Tarah Ybarra, of Aurora, Illinois; two grandchildren, Anaya and Cruzen, and one on the way; a sister, Karen Mahabir, and her husband, Narace, of Lebanon, Missouri; a sister-in-law, Marilyn Zerbes; nieces and nephews, Katie Mahabir, Logan Mahabir, Lacey Butler, and her husband,Chandler, and Brandi McGreevey; and a host of other family members and friends.
He was raised in the Glenwood Springs, Colorado area. Through the years, he worked as a carpenter, where he belonged to the his local carpenters union. He had retired in Lebanon, Missouri.
Jay was a loving father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and was a caring friend. We celebrate his life and know that his family and friends will hold tight to the wonderful memories he created for them during his lifetime.
