Jean Osborn (Bolivar)'s Obituary
ean Lorine Osborn, age 89, of Pittsburg, Missouri, formerly of Kansas City North, passed away on Thursday, December 15, 2016 at the Hermitage Nursing and Rehab Center, in Hermitage, Missouri.
Jean Lorine Osborn was born on August 26,1927, to Mary Helen (Conway) and Reford Allen Bagley in Northview, MO, Webster County., She was the third of 5 children born to this marriage, Myrtle Lucille Bagley (died at birth), Mary Catherine, Wanda Mae, and Donald Allen Bagley. After her father died in 1939, her Mother took the responsibility of raising these four children as well as caring for her parents.
A family by the name of Osborn moved to this little town and a relationship developed between Leonard and Jean advancing to marriage on October 24, 1942. He was called to war and was sent to England in the Army Air Corp. To this union there were three children were born, with the oldest being James Leonard, born August 1,1943; Larry Eugene born July 25, 1946; Linda Sue born November 3,1947.
Jobs were scarce and the family moved to Kansas City, Missouri, in 1950. They moved to Nashua, Missouri, (suburb of Kansas City) in September, 1953. There they remained.
She was preceded in death by her husband 2004, son Larry in 1971, her mother in 1975, father, and sisters Myrtle and Catherine.
She will be missed by her loving family, grandchildren - Lonnee Jean Hendrickson; Brian James, Mitchell and wife Tara; great-grandchildren, Robert, and Brian (Jr) Hendrickson; Conner, Logan, Owen, and Elliana Jean Mitchell; great-great-grandchildren Abby and Robert (Jr) Hendrickson.
Jean was a 57-year member of Order of Eastern Star, in Garland Chapter #287, Smithville, Missouri.
A visitation will be held from 10:00 – 11:00 am, on Monday, December 19, 2016, at the Butler Funeral Home, in Bolivar, Missouri, one hour prior to the funeral.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 am, on Monday, December 19, 2016, at the Butler Funeral Home, in Bolivar, Missouri, with Ryan Motter officiating.
Interment will be at the Clear Creek Cemetery, West of Springfield, Missouri, immediately after the funeral.
A memorial service will be held at the First Christian Church, Smithville, Missouri, on Wednesday, December 21, with Ryan Motter officiating.
The family requests memorial donations be made to the Hermitage Nursing and Rehab Center, in Hermitage.
