Jean Caroline Schatz (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Jean Carolyn Schatz, 73, of Lebanon, died Thursday, Aug. 6, 2015, at her home in Lebanon.
She was born Sept. 18, 1941, in St. Louis, Mo. to Ira and Edith Petroski Smith, who preceded her in death as well as a nephew Matthew Mormino.
On Sept. 11, 1959, she married Donald Schatz.
Survivors include her husband, Don Schatz, of Lebanon; three sons, Brent Schatz and his wife, Maria Odle, of Lebanon, Ore.; Stephen Schatz, of Dallas, Texas, and Marc “Tony’’ Schatz, of Lebanon; one daughter, Sheri Rutheford and her husband, Jay, of Lebanon; three grandchildren, Heather Aufiero, Marc Shatz and Lindsay Boyer; four great-grandchildren, Michael Vetra, Nicholas Vetra, Samuel Aufiero, and Kaylin Aufiero, and a sister, Judy Mormino and her husband, Frank, of Kirkwood. Two nephews, Joseph Mormino of St. Louis, MO. and Christopher Mormino and wife Darlene of Arnold, MO.
Jean worked in the Laclede County Circuit Court office for over 26 years, retiring as Chief Deputy Clerk. Christmas was a huge faviorite of Jean’s and she enjoyed decorating and making is special for her family and friends. She was an active leader in the Boy scouts where she taught the Weabelos. She was also a member of First United Methodist Church in Lebanon.
Private family services for Jean Carolyn Schatz will be held with burial in Mount Rose Memorial Park, under the care and direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon.
