Jeanelle (Lassiter) Schweitzer, daughter of Autry and Howard Lassiter, was born November 26, 1950, in Cairo, Georgia and departed this life on May 5, 2019, in the comfort of her home in Graff, Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, J.L. Lassiter and a sister, Betty Scoggins.
Jeanelle is survived by her husband Frank Schweitzer, oldest sister Barbra Sweat of Cairo, Georgia, twin sister Jeanette Barrett and husband Randall of Cairo, Georgia; her son Gregory McGuire and wife, Laura of Charlotte, North Carolina, daughter Regina Baker and husband Jason Baker of Little Rock Arkansas; seven grandchildren Nikki Cody, Lonnie Thomas, Kattie Thomas, Jacob McGuire, Jarrett McGuire, Ryder McGuire and Cole McGuire; and two great-grandchildren Alex Cody and Robbie Cody; along with many nieces and nephews.
She was born and raised in Cairo, Georgia. She had her cosmetology license and enjoyed waitressing to support herself as a single mother of two. She moved to South Carolina where she met the love of her life, Frank Schweitzer. They married on February 14, 1986. She was a loving, devoted wife and moved many times due to being a sailor’s wife which was a title she wore proudly.
She had a passion for hair, beauty and fashion. She even owned Jeanelle‘s Beauty Salon in Mansfield, Missouri. She had a love for all animals, especially her dogs. She was a superb homemaker and never left a chore undone. She had a knack for decorating and Christmas was her specialty. Above everything else the quality she was most loved for, was her zest for life.
Jeanelle had a deep love for Jesus Christ. She regularly attended Harvest Project Revival Center until she physically no longer could.
Jeanelle was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and a caring friend. We celebrate her life and will cherish the many great memories we had with her. She loved us and we loved her and we will miss her dearly.
