Jeannie and Lloyd spent forty happy years together before his passing on June 11, 2010. She worked outside the home as a school bus driver for both North Kansas City and Reeds Spring School Districts for many years before becoming an over-the-road truck driver, which she loved. Jeannie was also a member of the local Eagles Auxiliary Club. In addition to her parents, Jeannie was preceded in death by her sister, Mara Allen; and grandson, Robert Baker. Jeannie leaves behind her daughter, Kathryn Baker and husband, Randy, of Lawson, Missouri; three sons, Ronald Akers of Branson, Missouri; Matthew Akers and wife, Christie, of El Dorado Springs, Missouri; and Daniel Akers and wife, Brittany, of Seymour, Missouri; sister, Collette Placido and husband, Bob, of Turlock, California; three brothers, John Cunningham of Hayward, California; Tim Cunningham and wife, Juanita, of Union City, California; and James Cunningham III and wife, Jeanne, of Tracy, California; twelve grandchildren whom she loved dearly, Mikal Motley, Patricia Baker, Stormi and Preston Akers, Ashlie, Kayla, Caleb, Ashton, Braeden, and Jacob Akers, Daniel Akers II, and Hayden Akers; many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Jeannine Rae Akers was a loving wife, an amazing MOM, devoted and caring grandmother and an all-around fun spirit with a beautiful smile. She has left us much too soon, but the memories and moments she created in her years with us will be treasured forever in our hearts. She will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved her.
