Jeffery Grant Odom (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Jeffrey Grant “Odie” Odom, son of John and Janice Rogers Odom, was born September 16, 1961, in Lebanon, Missouri. He departed this life Monday, May 3, 2010, at his home, near Eldridge, Missouri, at the age of forty-eight years, seven months, and seventeen days.
He is survived by his wife, Rayetta, of Springfield, Missouri; a daughter, Sarah Odom, of Springfield, Missouri; three grandchildren; his mother and step-father, Janice and Dan Pogue, of Eldridge, Missouri; his father and step-mother, John and Patricia Odom, of Richland, Missouri; a brother, Robert Odom, of Buffalo, Missouri; two sisters, Jeanie Waters, and Jamie Tidwell, both of Lebanon, Missouri; a step-brother, Robert Ogle, of Richland, Missouri; two step-sisters, Laura Smith, and her husband, Robert, of Richland, Missouri, and LaDennia Cashell, of Kaiser, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; two grandmothers, Wilma Odom, and Thelma Routh, both of Lebanon, Missouri; a step-daughter, Carolyn Hebbler, of Springfield, Missouri; three step-sons, Mark McKnight, Bobby and Larry Hebbler, all of Springfield, Missouri; his significant other, Brenda Grier, of Lebanon, Missouri; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He was born and raised in the Lebanon area, and attended Lebanon R-III Schools. He then lived for a time in Kansas City, Missouri, where he worked at an ice plant. After returning to Lebanon, he worked for several years at Morgan’s Building and Fencing Company.
In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, and spending time with his dogs, which he dearly loved, and they loved him. He was a hard worker and also liked playing hard, too. His family was very important to him and he enjoyed time spent with them.
Jeff will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all of his family and many friends.
