Jeffery William Scott, son of William Arlie and Connie Young Scott, was born May 3, 1958, in Lebanon, Missouri. He departed this life Sunday, February 1, 2015, in his home, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of fifty-six years, eight months, and twenty-eight days.
On November 4, 2012, he was united in marriage to Laurie Anne Gillis Lewis, and they shared the last two years.
His father preceded him in death.
Jeffery is survived by his wife, Laurie, of the home; his children, Shayla Evans, and her husband, Josh, and Eli J., all of Lebanon, Missouri; a grandchild, Zoey Rose Evans; his mother, Connie Scott, of Lebanon, Missouri; a sister, Judy Sanders, of Lebanon, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He was raised in the Lebanon and Drynob communities, and received his education there. He had worked for various boat manufacturing companies during his life time.
Jeffery professed his faith in Christ early in his life at Glad Tidings Pentecostal Church. He had a very spiritual side and had preached and testified at different times in his life.
He was a huge fan of Harley Davidson motorcycles and loved riding. He was a poet at heart and was also a gifted writer and artist. He played the guitar and French harp, which he learned from G.P. Scott. He was very tender hearted and loved being a “Papa”. He was very friendly and never met a stranger.
Jeffery was a loving husband, daddy, papa, son, brother, uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We know he will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
A memorial has been established and donations may be left at the funeral home. Friends may call at their convenience
