Jennings LeRoy Louk (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Jennings L. Louk of Lebanon, Missouri, was born May 26, 1950 in Eccles, West Virginia to Edward Louk, Jr. and Rosalee Brooks. He passed away in Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri, on Saturday, October 12, 2024. He was seventy-four years, four months and seventeen days of age.
Jennings was born in West Virginia where most of his childhood was spent on the family farm. At thirteen he moved to San Diego, California with his uncle until he was drafted into the United States Navy. He served faithfully in the Navy during the Vietnam War. Following his honorable discharge from the Navy, he went to Akron, Ohio where he would begin his career in the trucking industry. He moved to Missouri in 1992 and retired from his career at the age of seventy from Shrock Trucking Company. He enjoyed his time on the road and seeing the country he loved so much.
On July 8, 2005, he was united in marriage to Connie McClure. They shared ten years together prior to her passing on August 11, 2015.
In addition to Connie, Jennings was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Rosalee; two sisters, Amanda and Sharon; and two brothers, Donald and Ronald.
Jennings is survived by his daughter, Melissa Louk of Lebanon, Missouri; his brothers, Gary Louk of Lebanon, Missouri, Troy Louk and Paul Louk, both of Sumter, South Carolina; and three grandchildren, Amara, Everett and Dahlia.
He followed the Baptist faith.
Jennings enjoyed fishing and singing and was a regular at the casino. He liked watching NASCAR races. Most of all, Jennings loved his grandchildren and being with them whenever possible. He always looked forward to being together at the holidays.
Jennings was a devoted father, grandfather, brother and friend. We celebrate his life and his accomplishments and will cherish the memories he made with them.
Services for Jennings Louk will be Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at 10 a.m. at Holman-Howe Funeral Home. Visitation will follow. Burial will be in Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Waynesville at 1 p.m.
