Jenny Adamson (Mansfield)'s Obituary
Jenny Mary Adamson, daughter of John Brice and Nora Idella
Anderson Kinnamon, was born January 21, 1926 in Cabool, Missouri
and departed this life on January 25, 2019 in Glendale Gardens Nursing
and Rehab in Springfield, Missouri at the age of ninety-three years and
four days.
On March 26, 1942, she was united in marriage to Lee Adamson and
to this union two children were born. She was preceded in death by
her husband, Lee, on November 2, 2002. She was also preceded in
death by her parents, son, Johnnie Adamson, brothers, Jim, John and
Sam Kinnamon, sisters, Francis Latimer, Alice Matlock, Betty Cowan and
Katherine Prater. Jenny was the last of the family to pass, including her
husband, son, siblings and their spouses and now they are all reunited.
She is survived by her daughter, Sue Daugherty and husband, Rick, of
Rogersville, Missouri; six grandchildren, Craig Adamson, Lisa McCurdy,
Danya Whetstone, Brice Adamson, Lance Adamson and Lane Adamson;
twelve great-grandchildren, Raychel, Travis, Evan, Ashley, Brandon,
Paige, McKenzie, Jakob, Kody, Blake, Laken and a special granddaughter
named Jenny, who was named after her; three great-great-
grandchildren, Korbyn, Jaxson and Klair; numerous nieces, nephews,
other relatives and many friends.
She was born in Cabool and moved to Mansfield with her parents at
a young age and attended Mansfield Schools. After she and Lee were
married, they made their home in Northern Missouri, near the town of
Craig, for ten years, before returning to Mansfield, where they lived the
rest of their lives. She was a devoted homemaker and farmer, working
side by side with her husband, Lee, on the farm raising cattle and
chickens (as many as 75,000 chickens at a time).
Jenny made a profession of faith in Christ at a young age and was a
member of the Mansfield First Baptist Church.
In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening and cross stitching. After
Lee passed away, she became an avid reader.
Jenny was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-
great-grandmother, aunt and a caring neighbor and friend. We
celebrate her life and will always cherish the great times we had with
her.
We would like to thank Glendale Gardens for the special care they
provided for our mother and grandmother. We are forever grateful to
them.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Number Five
Cemetery and made through Holman-Howe Funeral Home, P.O. Box
199 Mansfield, MO 65704.
