Jerry D. Bottoms (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Jerry D. Bottoms of Lebanon, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, January 25, 2022, in his home. At the time of his passing, he was 75 years, five months, and 17 days.
Jerry was born August 8, 1946, in Evansville, Indiana to Edgar G. and Frankie Dennis Bottoms.
On November 24, 1984, Jerry was united in marriage to Mary Ann Hoffman, and they shared 37 years of happiness and memories.
Jerry is preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Linda.
He is survived by his wife, Mary; a daughter, Brandy Bottoms and her boyfriend, Mike Andrews of Lancaster, Missouri; his son, Jerry Bottoms, Jr. and his wife, Andrea of Colorado Springs, Colorado; three grandchildren, Nicole, Jacob, and Kaitlyn; his sisters, Shirley Gifford and her husband, Johnny, Teri Wilson, and Donna Henderson and her husband, Randy, all of Huntsville, Alabama; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
He lived his early years in Indiana before joining the United States Navy. He proudly served in the Navy for 16 years, where he spent time in Vietnam as well as stateside. He had a wonderful career with the Navy and had a great love and respect for the United States of America.
Prior to moving to Lebanon, he lived in California, Oregon and Macon, Missouri.
Jerry had a wonderful sense of humor and was a family man. He enjoyed spending time with his family and his grandchildren were a delight to him. His patriotism and service to our country is appreciated and the legacy he left for his family will be treasured.
Services for Jerry Dennis Bottoms will be held at 10:00 A.M., Monday, January 31, 2022 at the Holman-Howe Funeral Home in Lebanon, Missouri . Visitation will follow the service at the Holman-Howe Funeral Home in Lebanon, Missouri. Burial with full military honors will be in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Waynesville, Missouri. A memorial has been established and contributions may be made through the funeral home.
