Jerry Euliss (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Jerry Dean Euliss, 78, died at his home near Morrisville, Missouri, on Wednesday, December 20, 2017, where he had battled Alzheimer's for the past 13 years.
Born at his family's home, he attended and graduated Marion C. Early Schools in 1957. After graduating he farmed with his dad, drove a milk truck, served in the Army Reserves, and while serving as Director of Sunday night Training Union at Morrisville Baptist Church he met his farm girlfriend, Karen Sue Hensley. They were married September 1961. From this union came Russ, Brad, and Annette.
Jerry worked as a transport carrier hauling new Ford cars out of Kansas City, Missouri for 35 years. He traveled to surrounding states in Missouri and many western states. His favorite routes were going through Polk County to come home to his family, church, tractors, and farm.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Helen Adams Euliss, a son Russell Dean and daughter, Karen Annette Turner. Jerry is survived by his companion and wife of 56 years, Sue as well as one son Brad Euliss and wife Diana, grandchildren, Stephanie Sellers and husband Nick, Devin Turner, Jared Euliss, Justin Turner, Josh Turner and son-in-law John Turner, and two great-grandchildren, Wyatt and Aubree Sellers.
Visitation for Jerry Euliss will be Thursday December 21, 2017 from 5-7 p.m. at Butler Funeral Home, Bolivar, Missouri.
A graveside service for Jerry Euliss will be Friday December 22, 2017 Enon Cemetery, near Morrisville. The family will be gathering at the Funeral Home at 9:00 AM to travel to the cemetery.
