Jerry F. Medley (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Jerry F. Medley was born December 28, 1948 in Springfield, Missouri, to John W. and Margaret McQueen Medley. He passed away Saturday, October 11, 2025 in Lebanon North Nursing and Rehab in Lebanon, Missouri. He was seventy-six years, nine months and fourteen days of age.
Jerry was raised in Springfield, Missouri and attended school in Springfield. He joined the United States Army where he served for twenty years. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and Desert Storm. He was stationed in several locations over the years, including Germany and Turkey and stateside at Ft. Gillem, Georgia, where he worked in security.
He was married to Norma “Kay” Hardester on November 17, 1978 and together they raised their children while creating many wonderful memories. In the late 1990’s, Jerry and Kay moved to Lebanon, Missouri to enjoy their retirement years.
Jerry is preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Medley; and his son, Kevin Joseph Medley.
He is survived by his loving wife, Norma “Kay” Medley of the home in Lebanon, Missouri; his daughter, Tamara K. Medley of Atlanta, Georgia; his son, Chris William Medley of Columbus, Maryland; his father, John Medley of Springfield, Missouri; his sister, Judy; his brother, Ron Medley; and other siblings, relatives and friends.
Jerry loved watching classic, old movies. He also had a love of Oreo Cookies and Pepsi.
He will be remembered for his faithful service to his country and his love for his family. We celebrate his life and his accomplishments and know his family will keep the wonderful memories they have with Jerry close to their hearts for years to come.
Funeral service for Jerry F. Medley will be Friday, October 17, 2025 at 10 a.m. at Holman-Howe Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Missouri Veteran's Cemetery in Waynesville, Missouri.
