Jerry Lee Shaw (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Jerry Lee Shaw, 87, passed away Tuesday evening, January 3, 2023, at the Citizens Memorial Hospital in Bolivar, Missouri, with family at his side. Jerry was born January 24, 1935, to Otha and Dola Shaw in Bolivar, Missouri.
On June 1st, 1955, Jerry married the love of his life, Lona Hart. To this union, four children were born, Jerry Alan, Mike, Sheryl, and Bobby.
Jerry was a lifelong mechanic and carpenter, having worked on many of the stock cars he raced throughout his many years. Racing was not only a hobby for Jerry, but it was also his passion. He also enjoyed watching and playing sports, basketball and football being his favorites. Jerry also enjoyed being with his friends and family, enjoying their company and visiting with them often.
Jerry is survived by his three children, Mike Shaw of the home, Sheryl Ridens (George) of Poplar Bluff, and Bobby Shaw of Bolivar; four grandchildren, Sagan Shaw, Chris Ridens (Shelley), Jera Morse (Robert), and Derek Shaw; six great-grandchildren, Caden Ridens, Jordyn Ridens, Paige Morse, Robert Morse III, Austyn Morse, and Gabriel Shaw.
Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, Otha and Dola Shaw, his loving wife, Lona, and his son Jerry Alan Shaw.
Jerry was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and dear friend. We celebrate his life and will always cherish the many happy memories he created.
