Jesse Fullington (Hartville)'s Obituary
Jesse Andrew Fullington, son of Gene and Ruth Mace Fullington, was born August 17, 1958 in Kansas City, Kansas. He departed this life Saturday, May 24, 2014 in Select Specialties Hospital, Springfield, Missouri, at the age of fifty-five years, nine months, and seven days.
On September 25, 1993, Jesse was united in marriage to Linda Lee Finley and together they have shared the past twenty-one years.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, especially, Annabell Moore, Lillie Kate Hurt, and Jackie Shelby.
Jesse is survived by his wife Linda, of the home; children Ritchie Russell and wife Airicka, Patrick Russell, and William Fullington and wife Ashley, all of Hartville, Missouri; special grandsons, Dallas, Truvin, Juilius, Kyler, and an extra special granddaughter, Jazira; parents, Gene and Ruth Fullington, of Hartville, Missouri; brothers, Eugene Fullington and wife Doris, of Hawthorn, Florida, Darell Fullington of Highlandville, Missouri, Roger Fullington and wife Lorri, of Tonganoxie, Kansas, Robert Fullington and wife Debbie, of Basehor, Kansas, and Gary Fullington and wife Tewana, of Hartville, Missouri; a sister, Cindy Moore and husband Jay, of Hartville, Missouri; a sister-in-law, Beverly Ducker and husband Bruce of Lynchburg, Missouri; a brother-in-law, Donnie Finley and wife Tammy, of Falcon, Missouri; mother and father-in-law, Jackie and Benny Finley; a number of nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and many dear friends.
Jesse spent his younger years living in Kansas, and was a graduate of the Basehor High School Class of 1976. Jesse moved to Hartville in January of 1977 and worked for a time at Marshfield Casket Company before opening Gene Fullington and Sons General Repair with his father and brother Robert in March of 1981. Jesse worked in the shop daily and did so until his health forced him to retire.
He was baptized at Edwardsville Pentecostal Church of God and was a member of the Red Hill Pentecostal Church in Hartville.
In his spare time, Jesse enjoyed riding his Harley; playing the guitar and singing; collecting cars and motorcycles; and spending time with his family and friends.
Jesse was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, and brother, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and accomplishments and will treasure the many wonderful memories he has created for his family and many dear friends.
