Jessie D. Couch (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Jessie Dewain Couch, son of Leonard and Luezene Fry Couch, was born September 14, 1952, in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas. He departed this life Thursday, February 8, 2018, in his home, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of sixty-five years, four months, and twenty-four days.
Early in his life he was united in marriage to Terry Nash, and to this union one daughter and one son were born. Terry preceded him in death.
On June 12, 1993, he married Alice Fay Winkle, and they shared eighteen years before her passing on November 3, 2011.
He was also preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Delbert Couch.
Jessie is survived by a daughter, Angela Couch, of Lebanon, Missouri; a son, William Couch, of Springfield, Missouri; a step-daughter, Melissa Clark, of Lebanon, Missouri; nine grandchildren, Brandon Couch, Tyler Couch, Nichole Lopez, Clayton Richerson, Kameron Couch, Destiny Clark, Ethan Munkres, Jaylee Shantz, and Shyla Shantz; three brothers, Danny Couch, Leonard Couch, and Jonathan Couch, and his wife, Julia, all of Lebanon, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He was born and raised in Arkansas and then moved to Illinois. After he and Terry were married, they made their home in Illinois, where Jessie worked as a welder. Jessie then he moved to Lebanon, Missouri, where he was employed by the City of Lebanon water and sewer department for several years. After he and Alice were married, they made their home near Lebanon.
In his spare time Jessie enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was an excellent story teller and liked telling his stories to his family and friends. He loved his family dearly, and helped to raise his own children and his grandchildren.
Jessie was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and know that he will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
