Jessie Ray Perry (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Jessie Ray Perry, son of George and Bessie Fay Appleberry Perry, was born February 10, 1933, near Lebanon, Missouri. He departed this life Wednesday, May 27, 2015, in Mercy Hospital, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of eighty-two years, three months, and seventeen days.
On December 3, 1995, he was united in marriage to Ruby Juanita Wilson, who preceded him in death on June 6, 1998.
He was also preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Calvin; two sisters, Ila, and his twin sister, Bessie.
Jessie is survived by a step-daughter, Sharon Dismang, and her husband, Dwight, of Lebanon, Missouri; a step-son, Jeffrey Wilson, and his wife, Bonnie, of Lebanon, Missouri; a brother, Ethan Perry, of Lebanon, Missouri; two sisters, Patsy Dismang, and her husband, Sam, of Lebanon, Missouri, and Ida McKelvey, of Kansas City, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He was born and raised in Laclede County, and lived most of his life in the Lebanon area. He had worked in the timber and lumber business for many years, and also helped Sammy milking cows, hauling cattle, and with the auction business.
Jessie had made his profession of belief in Christ and followed the Baptist faith.
He greatly enjoyed “junking” and liked to go fishing upon occasion. He always enjoyed being outdoors and particularly in the woods or on Sammy and Patsy’s farm. He was a friendly man who especially enjoyed visiting with his family and friends.
Jessie was a loving father, brother, uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and know that he will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Old Bolles Cemetery and left at the funeral home.
