He accepted Christ during a revival in 1942 and was ordained to preach the gospel on December 4, 1958 in a Freewill Baptist Church in Jerome, Idaho. He pastored churches and held revivals as long as his health permitted and continued to fill in wherever he was needed. He loved God and his family.
He enjoyed traveling, raising tomatoes and flowers and sharing them with his neighbors and friends. He especially enjoyed going to McDonalds of the mornings to network and visit with friends.
Jewell was a loving and devoted pastor, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and great-great-grandfather. We celebrate his life and his ministry, and cherish the memories he created for us. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him, and will live on it our hearts forever.
