Jewell Elaine White (Buffalo)'s Obituary
Jewell Elaine White, daughter of the late Joshua & Edna (Moore) Johnson, was born on August 15, 1926 in Guthrie, OK, and departed this life on January 2, 2020 at her home near Long Lane, MO. At the time of her passing she was 93 years, 4 months, and 19 days of age.
Jewell was united in marriage to Wesley White, and to this union 7 children were born, three of whom survive her. She had a big family and enjoyed spending time with all of them and often talked of how she loved them. Jewell lead the church choir with her beautiful voice and loved singing the old church hymns. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, and raising pot belly pigs as pets.
Jewell was preceded in death by her husband Wesley; her parents; and four children, Leon White, Johnny White, Nancy White, and Tommy White. She is survived by three children, Edna & husband Mike Stewart of AR, Steve & wife Sheri White of Forsyth, MO, and Tommy & wife LaDonna of Rockaway Beach, MO; one daughter-in-law, Traseda Lynn White of Elkland, MO; grandchildren, Bradley & wife Becky White, Kimberly White, Tommy White, ReGina Alkins, Brandi & husband Joe Girard, Mike & wife Joyce Sorokes, Julie & husband Jake Fultingberger, Stephanie & husband George Mercado, Becky Milnes, Sheila & husband Russell Jourden, Mary Elaine Freday, and Liam Freday II; great-grandchildren, Joseph, Melan, Aurelia, and Danny Aguilar, Josh, Jalen, and Josie White, Kayla, Melton, and Mikey Adam, Cecilia, George, Samantha, and Noah Mercado, Jeremy Sorokes, Wesley, Maddison, Macie, and Alicen White, Alexander, Mckenze, Peyton, Christopher, Nicole, and Candence Mills, Astrid Jones, Odin Jones, William White, Jimmy, Carrie, and Bobby Riddick, Mikayla White, Chris Nelson, Courtney and Joseph Girardi, Brandon, Amanda, and Kelcie Coffman, and Cassidy McKenna; and great-great-grandchildren, Brian Finch, Eli and DeeDee Filtenburger, Mazon Winter, Liam Stewart, and Autumn Nelson. She also leaves other family members and friends who will all truly miss her.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 10, 2020 at the Cantlon Otterness & Viets Funeral Home in Buffalo. Escorts will be friends and family in attendance. Interment will be in the Macedonia Cemetery under the care and direction of the Cantlon Otterness & Viets Funeral Home of Buffalo. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday at the Funeral Home.
