Jewell "Joey" Wommack (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Jewell Vernard Wommack, Jr. (Joey) had a winning smile, a vibrant personality, a generous heart, and an extraordinary zest for life. His 8-year battle with multiple health issues ended on April 28, 2012.
Joey was born in Eureka, KS, but was raised in Boliver, MO. On September 14, 1979, in Springfield, MO, he married the love of his life, Paula Marshall Wommack, and they set out on a 33 year adventure of life. In 1980 Joey and his family moved to Arlington, TX where he was a Sales Executive with several computer firms, but in 1987 he directed his talents toward a career in real estate. With many awards to his credit including induction into the Century 21 Hall of Fame and Re/Max Hall of Fame, he worked as a professional Realtor and contributed is talents to the Arlington Board of Realtors and North Texas MLS services until his illness began in 2004.
Joey was the father of his beloved children, Justin Quentyn, Eric Quincy, and Julie Marie. No father could have loved his children more. He had six grandchildren that filled his heart with pride and love.
Joey truly had a zest for life. His energy would fill a room. He loved gardening in his beautiful yard, photography, and during his healthy years, dirt bikes, Big Bend Texas, four wheeling, boating, and anything active and competitive. He will be sorely missed by his family and many friends and business associates.
He is survived by his loving wife, Paula, oldest son and his wife, Justin and Tracey Wommack of Arlington, TX, his youngest son and his wife, Eric and Christina Wommack of Mansfield, TX, his only daughter and her husband, Julie and James Hartnett of Mansfield, TX, his parents, JV and Ruthe Wommack of Bolivar, MO, six grandchildren, Megan, Mason, Samantha, and Sarah Wommack and Skylar and Lilly Hartnett, his brother and his wife, Brad and Leah Wommack, Bolivar, MO, his niece and her husband, Lindsay and Josh Laird of Nixa, MO, and niece and her husband, Malorie and Caleb Smith of Bolivar, MO.
