Jim Quennoz (Bolivar)'s Obituary
James was born March 6, 1930, in Pacific, Missouri. James was the eighth of ten children born to Victor and Julie Quennoz. James passed away on July 1, 2022 at Citizens Memorial Healthcare Facility in Bolivar after a long illness, at the age of 92.
James met Natalie, his wife of 68 years, while they were both serving in the Air Force. The couple were married on November 14, 1953. They were members of the Sacred Heart Church in Bolivar since 1972.
James was a twenty-two year Air Force veteran. During that time he was stationed at Kodiak, AK; Ellington Air Force Base, Houston, TX; Andrews Air Force Base, Washington D.C.; Scott Air Force Base, IL; Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, TX; Randolph Air Force Base, Universal City, TX; Wheelus Air Base, Tripoli Libya; Travis Air Force Base, CA; Mather Air Force Base, CA; Nah Trang Air Force Base, Khanh Hoa, Vietnam; McClellan Air Force Base, CA.
Upon retirement James and the family moved to the Polk County area where James indulged in his favorite past times of fishing and hunting. He was also an avid wood carver and a member of the Bolivar Woodcarver Club for many years.
James was preceded in death by his parents Victor and Julie Quennoz; his wife, Natalie Quennoz; all nine of his siblings and their spouses; brothers, Joe Quennoz and wife, Helen; John Quennoz and wife, Jean; Kenneth Quennoz and wife, Margaret; sisters, Margaret (Quennoz) Allen and husband Glen; Rosemarie (Quennoz) Patrick and husband, Thomas (Pat); Loretta (Quennoz) and husband, Russell; Monica (Quennoz) and husband, Charles; Yvonne (Quennoz) and husband Bill; Emily (Quennoz) and husband Jack; son, Adam Quennoz; and granddaughter, Kyla Quennoz.
James is survived by three sons, Michael Quennoz of Aldrich; Wayne Quennoz and wife Jean of Springfield; Matthew Quennoz and wife Kim of Bolivar; and daughter-in-law, Lynn Quennoz of Preston; four grandchildren, Bryan Quennoz and wife Megan of Republic; Julie (Quennoz) Allen and husband Evan of Springfield; Elizabeth (Quennoz) Bouselli and husband Nick of Crocker; and Miranda Quennoz of Preston. As well as ten great-grandchildren.
