Jimetta Ratliff's Obituary
Jimetta May Ratliff, daughter of James R. Glover, Sr. and Myrtle C. Pearson Glover, was born June 5, 1950, in Indianapolis, Indiana. She departed this life Thursday, May 4, 2006, in her home, near Richland, Missouri, at the age of fifty-five years, ten months, and twenty-nine days. She was united in marriage to Charles L. Ratliff and to this union one daughter and four sons were born. Her father, and two brothers, Bobby and Billy Glover, preceded her in death. Jimetta is survived by her husband, Charles, of Elko, Nevada; four sons, Michael Ratliff, of Elko, Nevada, James “Jamie” Ratliff, of Wendover, Nevada, Phillip Ratliff, of Elko, Nevada, and Scott Ratliff, of Richland, Missouri; a daughter and daughter-in-law, Wendy Ratliff, and Laura Rausch, of Richland, Missouri; five grandchildren, McKinzey and Caty Ratliff, Mason, Branden, and Dylan Spor; her mother, Myrtle C. Evans, and her husband, Paul, of Waynesville, Missouri; her step-mother, Dixie Glover, of Indianapolis, Indiana; a brother, James Glover, II, of the State of Florida; two sisters, Eldona Marlowe, and her husband, David, of Richland, Missouri, and Victoria Collins, of the State of North Carolina; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. She was born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana. She then made her home in Elko, Nevada, where she and Charles lovingly raised their children. Besides being a devoted homemaker to her husband and family, Jimetta also worked as a casino change girl and as a cashier at a convenience store for several years. In 1997, she moved to the Richland, Missouri area and made her home. In her spare time she enjoyed crocheting, going to auctions, and shopping on the QVC Home Shopping Network. Her family was very important to her and she especially enjoyed her grandchildren. She also loved animals of all kinds. Jimetta will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all of her family and many friends. We celebrate her life and will cherish the wonderful memories she made for those who knew and loved her. We love and miss you till we see you again. Your Family Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 8, 2006, in the Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Lebanon. Visitation will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday until service time. Memorial contributions to the Lebanon Humane Society may be made through the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon, Missouri.
