Jimmie T. Allmon (Seymour)'s Obituary
Jimmie Allmon, beloved husband of Betty Allmon, departed this earthly life Wednesday, February 4, 2015, at Glenwood Healthcare in Seymour, Missouri, at the age of seventy-two years, one month and twelve days.
One of six children, he was born Jimmie Thomas Allmon on December 23, 1942, in Winona, Missouri, to Milton and Julie (Hanger) Allmon. He moved to Seymour as a child and attended Seymour schools. On June 10, 1959, he wed Betty Jean Williams and to this union three daughters were born. The Allmons continued to live and raise their family in Seymour. Jimmie was a military veteran who proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army. He worked outside the home as a saw mill owner/operator. In addition to his parents, Jimmie was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Larry Williams. Jimmie leaves behind his devoted wife of over fifty-five years, Betty Allmon, of the home in Seymour; his daughters, Teresa Allmon and Jimmie Holt, of Ozark, Missouri; Regina Henry and husband, Marty, of Mansfield, Missouri; and Lisa Swopes and husband, Dwain, of Springfield, Missouri; three grandchildren, Jimmie Rebura, Crayton Henry, and Jeremy Henry and his wife, Kaylyn; two great-grandchildren, Easton Rebura and Lilly Henry; three sisters, Julie Williams of Seymour; Rhonda Young and husband, Marshall, of Fordland, Missouri; and Angie Todd and Randy Duckworth, of Seymour; two brothers, Jerry Allmon and wife, Joann, of Ava, Missouri; and Milton Allmon and wife, Myrna, of Seymour; many nieces, nephews and extended family and a host of dear friends and neighbors. Jimmie was a dedicated family man who adored his girls and his grandchildren. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, shooting trap, and his annual elk hunting trip to Colorado with family and friends. He was also a lifetime member of the Missouri Game Breeders Association (MGBA). Jimmie Thomas Allmon was a loving husband, father and grandfather, a caring brother and a loyal friend and comrade. Today we celebrate a life well-lived. Jimmie created a lifetime of memories and moments that will be treasured in the hearts of family and friends forever. He will be sadly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
