Jimmie Dale Greenfield (Seymour)'s Obituary
Jimmie Dale Greenfield, beloved husband of Dee-Anna Greenfield, departed this earthly life surrounded by his loved ones in the evening hours of Monday, February 22, 2016, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri. Jimmie was seventy-five years of age at the time of his passing. He was born in Weleetka, Oklahoma, on March 4, 1940, to Merle L. and Opal (Duncan) Greenfield.
Beginning in 1966, and for thirty-four loyal years, Jimmie worked at United Airlines as ramp worker, until retiring in 2000. On March 18, 2000, he wed his adoring and devoted bride, Dee-Anna Lee Harrison. It was Jimmie’s lifelong dream to live on and take care of a small farm, and in 2004, he and Dee-Anna retired to rural Seymour where they made their home and lived out Jimmie’s dream. In addition to his parents, Jimmie was preceded in death by his brother, M.L. Greenfield; and two sisters, Thelma and Reba.
Jimmie leaves behind his wife of fifteen glorious years, Dee-Anna Greenfield of the home; daughter, Carrie Follett and husband, John, of the state of Oregon; daughter, Virginia Harmon and husband, Dennis, of Marshfield, Missouri; three grandchildren, Samantha Gonsalves, Nikki Hamilton, and Justin Ian Murchison; one great-grandchild; treasured lifelong friend and brother-in-law, Jim Harrison and his wife, Ann, of Fordland, Missouri; lifelong friend and co-worker, Jim Mifflin of the state of Wisconsin; Jimmie’s first wife and mother of his children, Kathy Huff; and many more dear friends, church family and neighbors.
The Family will be holding private services for Mr. Greenfield at a later date.
