Jimmie Lee Jones (Buffalo)'s Obituary
Jimmie Lee Jones, son of the late James W. and Hazel (Deberry) Jones was born on July 28, 1933 in Lebanon, MO and departed this life on June 7, 2021 in Buffalo, MO. At the time of his passing he was 87 years, 10 months, and eight days of age.
Jimmie was saved at an early age and lived it all his life. He attended Garfield Church in Lebanon for 30 years. Jimmie was united in marriage to Marcene Young on February 9, 1952 in Lebanon, MO. He worked hanging drywall for over 30 years, enjoyed remodeling old homes, and refinishing old furniture. He also enjoyed spending time outdoors fishing and hunting. Jimmie and Marcene attended Dallas County Community Church for as long as their health permitted.
Jimmie was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Marcene of Buffalo, MO; his son, Jerry & wife Christie Jones of Phillipsburg, MO; one sister, Ida Mae Reed of Lebanon, MO; two grandchildren, John & wife Laura Jones and Julie & husband Preston Brown; seven great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. He also leaves several nieces, nephews, other family members, and many friends who will all truly miss him.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 11, 2021 in the Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home with Bro. Ervin Friend officiating. Interment will be in the Pleasant View Cemetery under the care and direction of the Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home of Buffalo. Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Friday at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Dallas County Community Church.
