Jimmie Lee (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Jimmie l. Lee, 78, of Bolivar, formerly of Pleasant Hope, passed away peacefully at Citizens Memorial Healthcare Facility in Bolivar on January 28, 2019.
Jimmie was born on February 18, 1940 to Jim and Ava (Wheeler) Redd in Eagletown, Oklahoma.
She was united in marriage to Sonnie Bob Lee on July 3, 1955 in Gainesville, Texas. Jimmie was proceeded in death by her parents; a son, Robert Wayne; a sister, Janie Hart, and a daughter-in-law, Vanessa Lee.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, five children: Cliff of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Jerry, of Pleasant Hope; Gary of Fair Grove; Karen of Brighton and Rodney (Kay) of Pleasant Hope; five grandchildren: Jennifer (Eric) Ridinger; Travis (Jamie) Lee; Stephanie Lee all of Fair Grove, Josh (Kari) Lee of Springfield and Jaydin Lee of Pleasant Hope; and three great-grandchildren: Connor, Aiden, and Charli Ridinger; 3 sisters: Clara Clutter of California; Virginia Milliken of New Mexico; Marie Thomason of Arkansas and a very special friend to the Lee family, Julia Valdes. Jimmie is also survived by her two loyal furry companions, Lola and Poncho.
Jimmie was a homemaker until all of their children were raised in which she was then employed by Oxford Home Health until her retirement. Affectionately known as Mombo, she often offered a loving smile, an open door or a witty joke. She loved working in her flower beds, canning from her garden, or cheering on her beloved Dallas Cowboys. Jimmie spent endless summers camping and fishing with her family and friends. Some of her greatest joys came with the birth of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of the Pleasant Hope United Methodist Church where she served her personal Savior, Jesus Christ.
The family would like to express their love and gratitude to the entire staff of CMHCF for becoming more than just care givers, bur more like loving family.
Services will be held Saturday, February 2nd at 11:00 a.m. at Butler Funeral Home in Bolivar.
Visitation will be 6:00-8:00pm on Friday February 1st also at Butler Funeral Home. Burial will be at the Pleasant Hope Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the CMHCF Resident Special Project Fund in memory of Jimmie Lee. Contributions may be given at Butler Funeral Home or mailed to CMHCF 1218 W Locust St. Bolivar, MO 65613.
