Jimmy Kohenskey (Lebanon) 's Obituary
Jimmy Reynolds Kohenskey, son of Varner R. and Irma Kelley Kohenskey, was born January 21, 1956, in Licking, Missouri. He departed this life Friday, October 3, 2014, in his home, near Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of fifty-eight years, eight months, and thirteen days.
On May 24, 2014, he was united in marriage to Katherine Sue Moore.
He was preceded in death by his father; and a sister and brother-in-law, Henrietta and Wayne Carter.
Jimmy is survived by his wife, Kathy, of the home; his mother, Irma Kohenskey, of Lebanon, Missouri; two brothers, David Kohenskey, and his wife, Teresa, of Granite City, Illinois, and Kenny Kohenskey, of Lebanon, Missouri; five sisters, Lucille Prewett, and her husband, Roger, of Clinton, Missouri, Venetta Case, and her husband, Jerry, Betty Kohenskey, Ronda Guinn, and her husband, Russell, all of Lebanon, Missouri, and Catherine Cunningham, and her husband, Frank, of Cuba, Missouri; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He was raised in the Edgar Springs community, and graduated from Newburg High School. He then moved to Granite City, Illinois, where he worked for a cabinet shop for a few years. He returned to Edgar Springs, and worked for Rolla Pump Company for a time before moving to Kansas City, Missouri. He worked with his brother-in-law, Wayne Carter, in the concrete business in Kansas City for several years. In 1990, he moved to Lebanon, Missouri, where he was employed by Tracker Marine for a short time. He was currently working as a mechanic assembler for Speedline Technologies.
Jimmy was an active member of Mount Olivet Assembly of God Church near Lebanon.
In his spare time he enjoyed being outdoors where his favorite activities were camping and fishing with his family. He also liked to go to R.V., boat, and gun shows. His family was very important to him and he especially enjoyed getting together with his family and friends.
Jimmy was a loving husband, son, brother, uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and know that his family and friends will treasure the wonderful memories he made for them during his lifetime.
