Jo Ann Aug (Bolivar)'s Obituary
JoAnn Mary (Nielsen) Aug died Tuesday, November 18th in Bolivar, Missouri due to long standing respiratory illness. She was 83 years old.
JoAnn was born on October 28th 1931 in Rolf, Iowa to her parents Anton and Helen Nielsen. After graduation from high school she moved to Ft. Dodge, Iowa working as a telephone operator. There she met and married the love of her life, Charles Douglas Aug. Due to Chuck’s career in International Harvester, they moved around the state of Iowa. JoAnn and Chuck had four children, Sandra, Douglas, Randal and David.
Upon Chuck’s retirement from the implement business the family moved to Flemington, MO, where they enjoyed life in the country. JoAnn made many friends through her Avon career and her years employed at Southwest Baptist University. She enjoyed her family, reading, sewing and playing cards with her friends and family. She passed her love of reading and sewing on to her grandchildren.
JoAnn is survived by her three sons Douglas and wife Debbie, Randal and wife Kathleen, and David and wife Judy, and her daughter Sandi and husband Charles McIntire. She is also survived by her brother Gerald and wife Mary, and sister Geraldine. The family was also blessed with and survived by 9 grandchildren (Michael, Kealey, Bryan, Brett, Jessica, Kyle, Kierstyn, Mary and Helen) and 6 great grandchildren (Zayden, Alivia, Jaxson, Brielyn, Jantz, and Kinsley).
