Joan Beachler (Buffalo)'s Obituary
Joan Marie (Crabtree) Beachler, 93, of Buffalo, MO, passed away Wednesday, December 21, 2022, at her home. She was born December 5, 1929, in Brighton, MO, to Lester L. and Ethel (Faught) Crabtree. She was united in marriage to Dale Gregg Beachler on November 5, 1948. He passed away on January 4, 1959. Joan was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ.
Joan was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; a brother, Kenneth Crabtree, of Springfield, MO; and a sister, Helen Whittenberg, of Walnut Grove, MO. She is survived by a son, Keith (Virginia) of Buffalo; two daughters, Karen Shackelford of Springfield, and Kathie Briscoe of Grain Valley, MO; six grandchildren, Bobbi Klein (Jason), Micki Williams (Matt), Kyla Hodges, Dustin Hodges (Jehan), Bradley Briscoe (Lindsay), and Kelli Briscoe; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
Visitation for Joan will be Monday, December 26, at 1:00 p.m. in the Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home in Buffalo. A memorial service will follow at 2:00 p.m. officiated by Brother Mike Pace. Interment will follow at a later date in Greenlawn Cemetery in Springfield, MO. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to either the Alzheimer's Association or the Humane Society.
