Joan Marie Bradshaw (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Joan Marie Bradshaw was born November 15, 1933 in Covington, Kentucky to Herman and Lenora Huhn Freimuth. She passed away in her home in Lebanon, Missouri on Friday, April 18, 2025 at the age of ninety-one years, five months and three days.
Joan lived in Oregon early in her life before moving to Missouri. She was a homemaker throughout her life and loved being a mom to her two daughters, Sandra and Kimberly.
On August 21, 1977, Joan was united in marriage to Lee Dan Bradshaw. Together they shared twenty-nine years of marriage before Dan passed away on January 9, 2007.
In addition to her loving husband, Dan, Joan is preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Lenora Freimuth; and nine brothers and sisters.
Joan is survived by her daughters, Sandra Meckem of Lebanon, Missouri and Kimberly Hargis of Salem, Oregon; her grandson, Devin Meckem and his wife Diana; her great-grandchildren, Brittany Meckem and her fiancé Kane Benton, Cadince Meckem, Cailyn Meckem and Connor Meckem; and two great-great grandchildren, Kolter Benton and Wrenlee Benton; and other relatives and friends.
Joan was raised in the Catholic faith and loved reading her Bible.
She enjoyed going to garage sales and Wal-Mart. She liked going places as long as the weather permitted. She also enjoyed her dogs she had throughout the years. In her younger years, Joan liked roller skating, doing the jitterbug and playing cards. She liked big cities and loud music.
Above all, she loved her family very much.  Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were very special to her and she enjoyed watching them grow and develop their individual personalities.
Throughout her life, Joan was known for her dedication to her family, embodying the roles of a loving mother and cherished grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. Her home was a haven of warmth, love and laughter where countless memories were created and treasured.
A memorial to St. Louis Children's Hospital has been established and donations may be left at the funeral home.
