JoAnn Rambo (Seymour)'s Obituary
JoAnn Rambo, daughter of Lawrence and Alta Wheeler Duckworth, was born June 6, 1945 in Pond Fork, Missouri and departed this life on October 14, 2016 in Big Springs Care Center in Humansville, Missouri at the of seventy-one years, four months and eight days.
On June 8, 1963 she was united in marriage to Ralph Wayne Rambo and to this union one son was born. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph on May 23, 2001. She was also preceded in death by her parents, sister and brother-in-law, Patsy and Jerry Julian, sister, Moletus Meyers; niece, Deanna Duckworth, and brother-in-law, Wilbur Boring. JoAnn is survived by her son, Eric, of Seymour, Missouri; grandson, Tegan Lee Wayne Rambo, of Rogersville, Missouri; three sisters, Anita DeArmond and husband, Frank, of Seymour, Peggy Boring of Seymour, and Jalane Childress and husband, Eddie of Warsaw, Missouri; three brothers, Junior Duckworth and wife, Rosalee, of Ozark, Missouri, Larry Duckworth and wife, Wanda, of Protem, Missouri, and Joy Duckworth and wife, Michelle of Seymour; brother-in-law, Kenny Meyers of Seymour, as well as several nieces, nephews other relatives and many friends. She was raised in Pond Fork in Ozark County and moved with her family to Seymour in the early 1950’s where attended Seymour Schools. JoAnn had worked at the apple orchard packing house, H.D. Lee and the Seymour Locker Plant. JoAnn made a profession of faith in Christ and was baptized at the Seymour Nazarene Church.
When she wasn’t working, she enjoyed going to garage sales, swimming and giving Ralph a “hard time”.
JoAnn was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and will cherish the many great times we had together.
