Joanna Marie Christian (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Joanna Marie Christian, daughter of Melvin and Edna Ponder Christian, was born November 9, 1961, in Waynesville, Missouri. She departed this life Wednesday, December 25, 2019, in Mercy Hospital, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of fifty-eight years, one month, and sixteen days.
Her parents preceded her in death.
Joanna is survived by a daughter, Hilary Christian, and her significant other, Craig Dinwiddie, of Lebanon, Missouri; two grandchildren, Jaden Christian and Chloe Dinwiddie; a sister, Laura Carney, and her husband Troy Carney, of Waynesville, Missouri; a niece and nephew; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was raised in the Crocker community and graduated from Crocker High School. She continued to make her home in Crocker for most of her life. She had worked as an accountant for Crocker Tax and Accounting Company for several years. Later, she moved to Lebanon and made her home. She had recently started work as an office clerk for Colonial Springs Health Care Facility in Buffalo, Missouri for several years.
She was very supportive of the Boy Scout program in Crocker, Missouri, while her grandson was involved. She loved her family dearly and especially enjoyed having time with her grandchildren.
Joanna was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and was a caring friend. We celebrate her life and know that she will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
Memorial Contributions to the Boy Scout Troop #147 in Crocker, Missouri may be made through the funeral home.
